What do you guys think about English literature?

I think English literature is extremely important for all of us, as English learners! This is because we can learn new different underlying cultures that have been influential to the English language! We can learn more about the historical backgrounds of English speaking societies, namely English and American societies, revealing the thoughts of the people living in the societies from which English was originated! Most importantly, literary reading helps develop our critical and analytical abilities!

For me, literature is very important for human. It shows how much mental progress do we have. Which country that has a lot of literature will be considered a prosperous country. Moreover, we can learn English language and their culture.

Also English literature is interesting and I interested in it but sometimes it quite hard for me to understand some part of them, maybe some symbol that I can't think about.
