Which do you prefer - watching English movies, or reading English books? Why?

I do prefer reading English books! I think it's informative because we can learn how English is really used. Even when I watch a movie, I pay a lot of attention to subtitles in English! Also, I have found it easier to read a book in English! Listening is said to be the toughest skills of all, and watching an English movie needs listening skills! Although I do not like watching an English movie, I am trying to love it sometimes!

For me, I prefer watching English movies to reading English books. I am not a person who like reading books and I am always sleepy when I read books. Some words in English books are difficult to understand and I have to open the dictionary to find the definition, so it takes many times to finish the passage. It makes me feel bored to read books. For watching movies, I personally think if the words are hard to understand but I can guess the definition from the action of the character. That's why I like watching English movies more than reading English books.

Personally, I prefer books but I love watching English movies too especially with sub-tittles.
I choose English books because I can read thee words clearly, I can find the meaning of the word in the story.
Moreover, if the story has main idea that I'm understand it will make me more understand what did the writer want to tell us. For movies if I don't understand the main idea, it cloud be hard for me to know more information without sub-titles.

They can give me the whole story in 2 or 3 hours but I have to take 1 week to finish reading a book. Watching movies also gives me new vocabularies and I can see the attitude on that vocabulary from the actors or actresses.
