From my point of view, people go to the museum to get knowledge. Museums are the place where people can learn about the history and cultures. These places collect a lot of historical objects and works of arts, so people can view real things and get new knowledge outside of books.

Personally, I think people go to museum because they want to gain knowledge and open their eyes. For example, they can get information of things, stories or history of something. In my point of view, I think there are 2 reasons that make many people want to go to the museum.
1. They want to relax after work hard and study hard and spending time with family.
2. They want to study traditional and architecture in the past also history. The museum has a lot of pictures and a book for studying also seeing art.
