Do you think the CLT approach is effective?

It is believed that English needs to be taught through the use of Communicative Language Teaching or CLT approach! The CLT approach, as opposed to the grammar translation method, provides students with the meaningful use of the language! Students can learn the meaningful lessons. They know both form and meaning! Although the use of grammar is not the emphasis of this approach, it is the key tool to enable students to communicate meaningfully with others. One thing important to this approach is the interactions among students, so tasks must be designed to promote collaborative learning, allowing students to interact with one another! All in all, I do believe that CLT approach is effective to student learning!
