I couldn't agree more if MSU has a shuttle bus to go to the old campus. Nowadays, I go to the old campus by motorbike which is sometimes dangerous. I think that it is safer to travel by the shuttle bus. Importantly, it can reduce the cost of students' traveling, too.

I always use my motorbike traveling to old campus. it's 8 km far from the new one.
So, it should be safe using the facility from MSU.
