How to deal with bullies in the classroom?

The most important thing to realize is that other parents, teachers, and staff, can also be bullies themselves. It causes most of the adult drama in both public and private schools and the workplace. Children are sponges and will mimic behavior the most observant, self-aware adult, isn’t aware that they have witnessed. Children will repeat this behavior BLATANTLY, and not as “shade” or rejection, but many times as physical or verbal outbursts, because they lack the adult mental capability of playing mind games.

As a child, I cannot deal with it at all. Actually I was a victim, so I know how the hurt they feel. The latest experience that I found the bullies situation is in the Tasongkhon School. When I had taught CLT1 in the class, I was asking a student's name. Others called him in the strange name. His face turned pale and unhappy with that name. So, I decided to ask a class stopping to bully him and asked them to think of this situation. I asked to imagine that if they were called with the weird name what would they feel. At that time, it stopped the bully situation. Well, If you want to end bullying in your classroom, you should talk to your students. Then provide them the fact. It is important to check in often when they are your students. Don't forget to talk to both students often. Ask how things are going and if they’re having any problems.

Bullying is bullying. Perhaps the student is laughing it off in front of you to avoid more frequent or more severe bullying. It is your responsibility to do more investigation to find the truth. Also, bullying is the strong against the weak. Although two students equally pushing and harassing each other is behavior that needs to be enforced with consequences, it’s not bullying.

I have never been bullied at all, and I do not want to be! However, I think if I encountered bullies in my life, I would not give up being against them. I do believe I was born and raised not to give up on this bad thing! I would provide those with my sharp words! We are living in the democratic society, and it is our right to protect ourselves! One thing more important is that we need to appear reliable and serious! Do not ever be coward; be brave to fight against the bullies!

In classroom, I think there is no real bullying because my classmates never bully me. I think they just make for fun and I never mind with it. Sometimes, my clasdmates' words may too severe, but I can manage it with laughing and playing with them. When you think positively you will never be bullied.

When bullying happens, sometimes it's good to shrug it off most times and just not care because it just shows your confidence and bullies just want to overpower you. But if it turns to physical then that's where you have to stand your ground and also sometimes have to take drastic action. Teachers and parents can only help so much but you have to take things in your own hands no matter what.

At first, I have no idea to deal with bullying. It happened once when I was teaching in some a school. One boy was bullied by his friend and he cried. I think I should warn him using sharp words but my co-teacher use warm words to bond these children together. It reminded me that we can give them warmth and point out that bullying is not good.

Students won’t come to you for help if you simply send every bullying incident to higher authorities. You have to send a strong message to every bully that you are not going to allow such behaviors. So, help every victim and let every bully face the consequences of his or her actions.
