Re: What are the best ways to remember things for an exam?
I do have some techniques to study for exams, which include...
- read by skimming and scanning for the whole lesson to see the overview;
- take a close reading to the lesson with the highlighting of key concepts of the lesson;
- memorize the key concepts highlighted by talking to myself;
- go over what has been memorized to see if we can remember all of them.
Sometimes, to remember the page along with the key concepts does help, too.

Personally, the best ways to remember for the exam are
1. Try to create something that we read in sequence.
2. categorize the data.
3. Try to understand the important points of what we read.
In fact, I like the exam that have to analysis rather than memory.

I would like to suggest you write what you know from memory on a blank sheet: a plain sheet of paper is a very under-rated study tool! Put your books away, then scribble down everything you can remember about a topic. After you’ve squeezed out as much as you can from memory, you might like to go back and add in any missing details in a different colored pen. Next time you train yourself on this topic, aim to have fewer missing details – until you have none at all come the week before the exam!
