My hometown is not in this region. It is the northernmost province of Thailand.
It is bordered by the Shan State of Myanmar to the north, Bokeo Province of Laos to the east, Phayao to the south, Lampang to the southwest, and Chiang Mai to the west. I think you guys can guess.

My hometown is famous for the largest elephant village in the world. It is located in the northeastern part of Thailand. Neighboring provinces from west clockwise are  Buriram, Maha Sarakham, Roi Et, and Sisaket. To the south it borders Oddar Meancheay of Cambodia.
