If I were a president, I would the first thing that I would do is Remove all price controls and most regulations on free markets. This includes rent control, minimum wages, “smart growth” policies and anything trying to prevent “price-gouging”. They don’t help anyone, they interfere with the functions of prices which reflect supply-and-demand realities, almost always resulting in surpluses or shortages. Also, get rid of compulsory “benefits” for workers or any special tax-deductible statuses for such things.
