Do you have any curiosity in Buddhism?

Well, I have to say that I am now interested in Buddhism. I want to know more about the real meaning of life in Buddhism. In my life, I don't really understand why do we offer food and stuffs to the monk. My mother will always tell me that I will go to heaven if I give an offering to the monk and this is the beginning of my research about Buddhism. When I get deeper into the core of Buddhism about detachment, I am now having a new idea about Buddhism. I watch a Chinese movie named Master of Zen and now I got a new view on the core and the true meaning of life.
