If the work is to write an essay, my ideas are always from my prior knowledge. To illustrate, when I am asked to write an essay, I always choose a topic which I love the most and I see that it's appropriate for the type of the essay. However, some ideas are taken from the Internet. I sometimes search for some information on the Internet and then paraphase it or synthesize it. That's how I come up with my idea for work.
