Personally, I think the meaning of home is very abstract.
I believe that home means a secure, cheerful place where you are respected and loved.
That's my definition of home.

A home is where you have the feeling of comfort, security and a place that you are able to feel warm and relaxed. A house can be cold and desolate that you feel it is not a home, so home is abstract because it is a sense of feelings as mentioned.
