Do you think people are basically bad or basically good?

I have studied human originate from philosopher and religion. I found out that humankind is like a white clean fabric which can be changed and shaped by society. If you are in a good environment, you will be a good person. In contrast, if you are in a bad environment, you might be something else which might not be good both of mental or physical. It also depends on one's thoughts and mindset. People can be bad or good but they are not bad in the first place. What do you guys think?

In my opinion, people are basically good and innocent since they were born but the greed and desire make people
gradually bad and worse. Human are also love themselve more than others so that they can do everything in order to get what
they want without morality. I think if we don't have greed and wants, they will be the good one.

In my opinion, I think it depends on the environment surrounding people because if a person is surrounded by a good environment such as good people or a good society, the person will grow up with a good quality of his life. But if a person who is surrounded by a bad environment such as surroundings with selfish people, that person may grow up in the wrong mindset. People surrounding us has influenced so much.

Basically most are good. They become bad because they can not accept transgressions against them and must have revenge. A human frailty one must overcome to live a life of joy and happiness with themselves. All the love for oneself lies within, not from others. We lose our love when we have to get revenge, which too many people need. Its the difference between being good and bad.
