At first, I think the main actor and actress, usually when I want to watch some movies main actor and actress are the motivation to make movie more interesting. A plot is important too, I really love romantic comedy movies and horror movies so I will read the plot of the movies which are about. Also scene and soundtrack can make movies more entertaining.

To me, a film is entertaining if the story-line is strong, and the acting and lines of the actors/actresses are believable. You can tell the difference between a good and bad movie by listening to the dialogue. But entertainment is also a personal thing. For example I hate horror movies so I just don't find them entertaining at all, but give me a good comedy or romance and I will be there till I get bored.
